I Set My Friends on Fire was formed in 2007 by Matt Mehana and Nabil Moo. Now, they are made up of five members: Matt Mehana, Chris Thompson, Connor Mitchener, Cobrette Bardole, and Hector Bagnod. Together, they went on to make a name for themselves, creating unique music. Members were constantly going in and out of the band; nevertheless, they never stopped releasing music.
Here is a quote from Wiki I Set My Friends on Fire, explaining more about the group:
The group signed with Epitaph Records before releasing their debut album, You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, in 2008. Drummer Chris Lent joined the band in 2009. The group's second album, Astral Rejection, was scheduled to be released on June 22, 2010, but it was shelved for a year by Epitaph. Moo left the band in 2010, then Lent left the band.
As time passed, they were known for their fusion of post-hardcore, electronic, and screamo sounds, as well as their humor and sarcastic lyrics. A sound that is unique to the hardcore community and was initially criticized but is now loved by many music listeners. They brought multiple genres of music into one, making them who they are today.
